To be a good teacher, you need some of the gifts of a good actor: you must be able to(1)the attention andinterest of your students, you must be a( n)(2) speaker, with a good, strong,(3)voice which is fully underyour control; and you must be able to act on what you are teaching, in order to make its meaning clear.(4)agood teacher, and you will see that he does not sit still(5)his class: he stands the whole time he is teaching; hewalks about, using his(6), hands and fingers to help him in his explanation, and his face to express feelings.Listen to him, and you will(7) the loudness, the quality and the musical note of his voice always changingaccording to what he is(8) about. The fact that a good teacher has some of the gifts of a good actor doesn ’t(9)that he will indeed be able to act(10) on the stage, for there are very important differences between theteacher's work and the actor's. The actor has to say words which he has learnt by heart; he has to repeat exactly the(11) words each time he plays a certain part, and even his movements and the ways in which he uses hisvoice are usually(12) beforehand. What he has to do is to make all these carefully learnt words and actionsseem(13)on the stage.
A good teacher(14)in quite a different way. His students take an active part in his class: they ask andanswer questions, they obey orders, and if they don't understand something, they raise their hands. The teachertherefore has to suit his act to the needs of his students. He can't learn his part by heart, but must(15) it as he goes along.

The survey on frendship appeared in the March issue of Psychology Today. The findings(10) that problemsof trust and betrayal are(11) to friendship. They also suggest that our readers not only(12)for friends among those who are most like them, but find many friends(13) in race, religion, and ethnic background.
